Reports To: Director of Creative Marketing

Location: Blacksburg, Virginia

Status: Full-Time

As a Mailtrust Graphic Designer, you are working to improve the face of our company. Every day will be a new project and a new challenge as you plow though our graphic design, backend interfaces, creative marketing campaigns, and more! While you know you're good, you also realize that you're not a leading expert (yet), which is why you revel in the opportunity to work with other experienced creatives to hone your skills—all the while contributing in an important way.

Your responsibilities to our customers include:

• Producing web-based designs and interfaces that are easy to navigate, contain easy-to-find information, and are fully functional
• Working with a Marketing Director and MANY web developers to find new and better ways of solving web and layout problems

Your responsibilities to your co-workers include:

• Continually updating our corporate website
• Educating them on new features
• Letting them know where they can find information to help the customers
• Integrating important details about our solutions and services quickly and efficiently
• Helping application developers put out the best looking interfaces and products possible

Necessary Skills & Important Characteristics:

You should have at least 1-3 years of graphic design experience and a decent working knowledge of web browsers and web development technologies. Please be prepared to show off your portfolio! You should also be VERY proficient in the following:

• Adobe Creative Suite; namely Photoshop and Illustrator
• The use of type and typeface layout
• Web-based graphic elements
• Basic interface and web layout practices

An understanding of Flash, Quark, InDesign, HTML and/or CSS is a plus. Illustration skills are an even bigger plus.
